We ensure an appropriate level of security, taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of the processing, as well as the risks and their likelihood.

4. Cookies : how are they used ?

4.1 What is a cookie ?

A cookie is a text file that may be stored on a device when you access an online service using a web browser. In particular, a cookie enables its issuer, during its period of validity, to recognise the device in question whenever that device accesses digital content containing cookies from the same issuer.

In any event, cookies placed on your browser device with your consent are deleted 13 months after they are placed on your device.

4.2 What are the cookies on our website used for? ?

The cookies we use enable us to:

  • compile statistics on visitor numbers and usage of the various elements of our Website (sections and content visited, browsing paths), allowing us to improve the relevance and user-friendliness of the Website and, where applicable, our products and services;

  • adapt the presentation of our Website to the display preferences of your device (language used, screen resolution, operating system used, etc.) during your visits to our Website, depending on the hardware and viewing or reading software installed on your device;

  • to store information relating to a form you have completed on our Site (registration or account login) or to products, services or information you have selected on our Site (subscribed service, contents of a shopping basket, etc.);

  • to allow you to access restricted and personal areas of our Site, such as your Account, using login details or data that you may have previously provided to us, and to implement security measures, for example when you are asked to log in again to access content or a service after a certain period of time.

When you browse the Website, social media cookies may be generated, in particular via share buttons that collect personal data.

When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner will appear on the home page. A clickable link allows you to find out more about the purpose and functioning of cookies and directs you to this Policy. By continuing to browse another page of the Site or selecting an element of the Site (such as an image, text, link, etc.), you consent to the storage of the cookies referred to on your computer.

4.3 How can you control the cookies used ?

In accordance with the relevant regulations, you may refuse the use of cookies that are not strictly necessary.

Furthermore, you can at any time configure your browser settings so that cookies are stored on your device or, conversely, so that they are rejected (either systematically or depending on the issuer). You can also configure your browser settings so that you are asked to accept or refuse cookies on a case-by-case basis, before a cookie can be stored on your device.

Please note: any settings you choose may affect your browsing experience and your ability to access certain services that require the use of cookies. We accept no liability for any consequences arising from the impaired functioning of our services resulting from the inability to store or access the cookies necessary for their operation, which you may have refused or deleted. This would be the case if you attempted to access our content or services that require you to log in. It would also be the case where we (or our service providers) are unable, for technical compatibility purposes, to recognise the type of browser used by your device, its language and display settings, or the country from which your device appears to be connected to the internet.
